Local walks

Healthwalks

Brighton & Hove Healthwalks provide 15 regular led walks across Brighton & Hove.  The walks cover a distance of one to three miles, and start from a variety of locations across the city.  For more information or to request a copy of the programme, please contact Healthwalks on 01273 292564 or email healthwalks@brighton-hove.gov.uk or visit Healthwalks here.

Twitten maps

The council worked with residents in Patcham, Hollingbury and Withdean to create a special map of the twittens in their area.

'Twitten' is a local Sussex word which means cut-through or short-cut which is usually a narrow path between two walls or hedges, usually linking one street with another.

Residents came together to provide details of the local twittens in their area and made it possible to create a special map. The map is available as a pdf download and from libraries in Hollingbury and Patcham.

Download the Twitten map here (three documents):

We'd like to hear from you if you have any photos you'd like to send us of the twittens in your area! Send an email to journeyon@brighton-hove.gov.uk and don't forget to mention your name and where the twitten is!
